“I’ve been meaning to write this since Lifescape finished my GORGEOUS patio a month ago. More compelled today. My experience during sales and install could not have been better. Troy Shimp is an amazing, amazing designer and so kind. Brant Zirker, my PM was so on top of everything and such a Pro. Lastly, the team – couldn’t have asked for more. On time every day. Juan was such a perfectionist, constantly leveling and measuring over and over. He’s the best! The outcome was stunning!!! So, why today…well, I spilled candle wax on my gorgeous patio – a lot of wax (really stupid), I emailed Brant and Troy for ideas on how to get it out. I also had an outdoor light damaged. Brant was here within 48 hrs. The light will be repaired, he actually repaired another light that had nothing to do with the installation – so nice. And, will replace the bricks for me for what sounds like not much money to restore my beautiful patio. Let me say too, that my job is probably among the smallest jobs they do and yet I never, ever felt less important. It does go to show you get what you pay for. They certainly are not the least expensive but the value is there and worth every penny.”

“Over the past year I have had the pleasure of personally working with Lifescape & Associates as well as their amazingly talented designer, Tonya McGibney. I first became acquainted with the owner, Michael Hupf, through an interior design function we both attended. I knew from meeting Michael I had found the company who could help me execute the landscaping for my home.

Tonya was assigned to my project and turned my ideas into detailed drawings and work orders. She worked endlessly to help me make my vision a reality. The entire team: Tonya, Jenny, Ron, Brant, Tyler and Mike as well as the wonderful crew who executed the project, were on task every step of the way. Their follow through with “issues” that come up with any landscape project has been phenomenal. I should also mention that I had a very important deadline to meet…a bridal shower for my daughter! The deadline was met and the outcome beyond my wildest expectations.

I want to assure anyone who hires Lifescape & Associates that you are in good hands and are dealing with one of the best companies you could hope to do business with. I recommend them to all of my interior design clients. If you are lucky enough to work with Tonya McGibney: well that’s just icing on the cake!”

“Lifescape Associates designed and constructed an incredible backyard oasis with a sunken swim spa, patio, sprinklers, planters, lighting, decking and much more. Their team was extremely professional, showed up on time, managed any problems along the way, and communicated the whole way through. Give these guys a call!”

“Lifescape Associates did a wonderful job, from start to finish. The designer captured our intent, and worked diligently with us through the process to make sure everything went smoothly. The workers showed up on the job on time, and worked extremely hard every day until the job was completed. The outcome is terrific, and many passersby in our neighborhood remark on how what an outstanding job this company did. Perhaps they aren’t the least expensive landscapers out there, but they do what they say they will do, and on time. Their workers are diligent, pleasant and professional, they stand behind their work, and they deliver a top-notch project. I would use them again in a heartbeat.”

“Lifescape worked with us on a design for our backyard. Dan DeGrush is the designer, came out to our house 3 times and we went to Lifescapes’ offices once over a span of 4-6 weeks. Both Dan and Michael were very professional and the design is first rate, they worked with us on several revisions for the same fixed cost. We plan to have Lifescape be the contractor when we start the actual work. I spoke with two other design companies and the estimate to do a design were very close in price.”

“It went very well, although we won’t see many of the results until the spring/summer. The design process involved meeting with Gary Kayser at our home and giving him a sense of what we wanted. A month later, Daniel, one of the company’s designers, met with us to go over a preliminary design. We made some modifications to the design and the company then put together a construction bid. Unlike many landscape designers, Lifescape is a design/build firm. Once we accepted the bid and signed a contract, the landscaping was scheduled. The total time was about five days, interrupted by a snow storm. Lifescape removed a tree, several bushes, ivy that was covering the walls, and some ground cover. They extended the front bed, converted the irrigation system to a drip system for all of the plantings and trees, installed a new flagstone path on the side of the house, added four low voltage landscape lights, and planted and mulched the beds with a variety of shrubs, ground cover and perennials.”

“Lifescape Associates redid our entire backyard including: designing our new backyard space, tearing out old flagstone patio, plants and river rock, moving old irrigation system, redoing the irrigation system out front, regrading and redoing yard drainage correctly, installing dripline, installing pavers for patio, moving and redoing trex deck, refinishing wood railings, installing approximately 90 plants, installing mulch and installing flagstone walkway.

We interviewed around six landscape companies and Lifescape was the best by far. Dan DeGrush met with me during our initial consultation meeting and was immediately personable and enthusiastic about the project. Of all of the landscape designers that we interviewed, Dan was the only individual that brought with him a list of referrals from clients, information about Lifescape’s insurance policy, previous awards and images of previous designs I had to repeatedly ask other companies for this information.

Dan had great ideas for what to do with our small space to make it more usable that were in line with the materials and look I hoped for. He showed me a number of pictures of other spaces in order to get an idea of what I liked. He came back with two renderings that were incredibly detailed and exactly what I was hoping for. We had trouble choosing between the two designs because they were both great options but ended up going with the more expensive option because it provided us with more space for a seating area.

Once work was scheduled, Mike came out from Lifescape and introduced himself to us and also to our neighbors. He gave our neighbors his contact information in the event that any of the work got in their way. I found this to be such a nice way to let our neighbors know that work would be going on without making it a huge nuisance for them. Each of the contractors that came out were professional, respectful and highly skilled. Dan and Mike were involved every step of the way with coming out to check on the site regularly as well as contacting me to ensure that I was happy with each days work. I was impressed at how diligent everyone was at cleaning up the site at the end of the day. With previous construction projects with other companies, metal, nails and trash have been left all over the place that I have had to clean up or complain about. This was never an issue with Lifescape.

We could not have been happier with the finished project. The plant choices are gorgeous and really made our tiny backyard space feel like it was a lush, private garden. The patio work was unbelievable.

We have not had any problems with drainage since Lifescape redid the grading and drainage. Dan’s idea to redo the deck and move the stairs gave us so much more usable space for a seating area. The dripline has worked seamlessly and I love that I don’t have to worry about watering the plants on my own.

We would recommend Lifescape to anyone. The price was absolutely fair for the amount of excellent work that was done from start to fnish. We have hired Lifescape again for winter watering of our plants, to redo the front flower bed and to install a drip irrigation system for the front bed.

Despite the fact that Lifescape is involved with huge projects at multimillion dollar homes, we never felt like our project was less important simply because it was on a smaller scale. We loved our experience with Lifescape!”

Hi Tonya,
The backyard, side yards, fencing, and ironwork all look wonderful!  We are very happy with the quality of the work, the crews that worked on the project, and how it all turned out!  We were cleaning out the garage and putting our furniture/pots in the back on Saturday and had many visits from the neighbors who all were really impressed by how good it looked how much it opened up the back.  They all thought, including our family who have stopped by that it made the back yard look so much bigger!
Thank you so much for another great job and we will of course use Lifescape again should we decide to do any other work on our front or back landscaping.  We look forward to working with Charlie on the sprinkler system.

Please let everyone know who worked on this that we really appreciate their quality work, professionalism, and good nature.  They were all a pleasure to work with.
Have a great week and we hope the Home and Garden Show brought in more customers for you again this year!

Thank you again,

Pam, Phil, and Dmitry

We hired Lifescape early last year to remodel our front walk and porch. We were so pleased with the results that we hired them at the end of the year to do a complete back and side yard remodel. In both cases Lifescape provided exactly what we wanted with extraordinary craftsmanship. All of the professionals at Lifescape were wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable. We would absolutely hire Lifescape again for any future remodeling work!

Enjoy the nice weather!
