Located in a native setting with views of the mountains, these homeowners wanted an eclectic landscape. Rooms were created in different areas of the yard and were enhanced with multiple water features and a yard that showcases their vast landscape sculpture collection. Large 25--40 foot ponderosa pines were transplanted from other areas of the property to key spaces in the landscape to give an instant feeling of age. A mixture of native and waterwise flowering trees and shrubs create an ever-changing color palette. One of the most interesting features of the property is an enclosed courtyard garden that was created by building stone courtyard walls with “windows” and a recycled wooden gate. Flagstones set in grass give the feeling of a more casual space where one can pull up a chair by the custom firepit and enjoy the views of nature around them.
