With the addition of a small pool house in the back yard of this Denver property, a new terraced landscape with blue stone patios, gravel pathways, both a wall and bubbling fountain and bountiful plantings, was designed to transform the space. What was once an overgrown and aging shade garden was transformed into an elegant retreat, perfect for intimate gatherings or entertaining friends. Prior to construction, much time was spent designing this landscape in collaboration with the homeowner to meet all of the client’s goals. The formal lawn area is bordered by a classic crushed stone pathway that leads you to the different spaces in the garden. Lush perennial plantings in a pallet of whites, lavenders and purples flow behind manicured boxwood hedges. New trees were carefully selected to not outgrow this modest sized yard. Bluestone patios are set in alignment with an elegant fireplace and wall fountain to enjoy.
