Lifescape’s design and construction of a private residence in Castle Pines, Colorado was voted 2015 Colorado Project of the Year from industry peers. According to the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado, the award program recognized “professionalism and innovation, as well as business practices and original projects.”

This Castle Pines residence is an excellent display of mountain-meets-modern in Colorado. There is a focal element on each axis of the home – a sunken garden; an art sculpture aligned with Pikes Peak; a fire pit retreat; and, a path winding down to a gravel patio. By taking a minimalistic approach, using a simplified plant palette, crushed gravel, clean lines and a few perfectly placed landscape features, the contractor created a landscape that exceeded the homeowner’s expectations.

Lifescape designers, LeAnn Ostheimer and Dan DeGrush, were put to a designers challenge by the client, who was new to Colorado. Our design ideas won them over and we were selected to be part of their team to design and install this incredible landscape. “By taking a minimalistic approach, using a simplified plant palette, crushed gravel, clean lines and a few perfectly placed landscape features we were able to create a landscape that is exactly what the homeowner wanted,” said LeAnn.

Providing excellence since 1976, Lifescape looks forward to continuing to work from an eco-conscious platform to ensure that landscape not only look beautiful when they’re built, but evolve just as beautifully.
